I was born into a conventional Baptist family. When I was thirteen, my parents made me baptize. I didn’t understand much at that baptism. The parents organized a big party, but for me nothing special happened because it was just a religious duty that I had just fulfilled.
I continued to attend church, several Christian denominations. I loved the Church in general, but without expecting anything special.
At the age of twenty-seven, I was invited to a women’s conference in a church. Touched by the atmosphere there, the following Sunday I came back to this church. And there I was seized by the Word of God. Week after week, I went to this church because I was thirsty to hear a living Word.
My heart opened and I felt that this Word penetrated within me. I also had the revelation of God as a Father, «My father»; from then on, I consecrated myself and above all, I engaged in a walk with Jesus. A few months later, I asked the Pastor of the church if I could go through the waters of baptism again, as a sign of a voluntary commitment to the Lord; and that is what happened. I was then twenty-eight years old.
While for years I performed only religious acts, I have since entered another dimension of communion with a God Who until now was unknown to me: JESUS-CHRIST, THE KING OF KINGS.
I then understood that “GOD THE FATHER” knew me personally. A reality that had never before risen in my heart.
